Robert E. Poll, Managing Director
Robert Poll is a highly regarded member
of the finance industry. In a career
spanning over 35 years, he has held senior level management roles at some
of the most well respected firms in banking and finance including; Lazard
Freres & Co., Chase Manhattan Bank and William Blair & Co.
For over 12 years, Bob served as General Partner and Manager of the Municipal Division
of Lazard Freres, which included the Public Finance, Municipal Bond and
Arbitrage departments. During his tenure, the Municipal Division of Lazard became one of the most prominent and influential financial advisors
and underwriters in the United States. Under Bob's direction, the Municipal Division senior managed and/or advised on
some of the largest and most complex municipal issues ever financed at that
time, totaling over $175 billion in securities.
Since founding Poll Financial in 1998, Bob has provided strategic and financial advisory services to numerous corporations in a variety
of industries. This has oftentimes led to Bob's assuming a senior executive role within the institution.
Most recently, Bob oversaw the $531 million refinancing of Starrett City, the largest federally subsidized housing complex in the United States. Acting as President of Starrett City, Inc. and representing the partnership, Bob worked with Freddie Mac to successfully complete the refinancing. This resulted in the largest mortgage loan of its type ever issued.
Bob has also performed in numerous senior roles for various
non-profit organizations including the Citizen's Budget Commission of New York, the University of Michigan Public Finance Institute and the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Alumni Board.
Bob holds a BA in Political Science from Kenyon
College, an MBA from Indiana University and graduated from the University of
Michigan/PSA Public Finance Institute.
